I’m thankful that my company feels like summer camp tonight 🙂

Day 23

Today I’m thankful that I work for a company that has the ability to provide me shelter during a hurricane. While I will be working through the storm, not just riding it out, I feel safer here than I do at my apartment.

Day 22

I am thankful for Sundays like today. Deserted beach with perfect weather and a good book? What more does a girl need?

Day 21

Tonight I’m thankful for friends with families that make you feel like you’re a part of theirs. Especially when my family is so far away.

Day 19

I’m thankful for positive people. I play on an intramural soccer team, and I am awful. Soccer is not my game- never has been. I only play because we need at least two girls on the field at all times, and we never have enough girls. So basically I stand on the field and hope to get in the other teams way once or twice. The other girl on our team is actually really, really good. Better than some of the guys. We lost our game tonight, and it was a tough loss because the other team was a bunch of whiny babies that played rough but then called foul when we started playing rough too. But oh well. It’s just a game. After the game, the other girl on our team, who I met for the first time at our game last week, walked around telling the rest of us “good game, good job, you did awesome!” All of us. I don’t generally need to be congratulated, etc, but when the other team practically storms off the field, it’s nice to hear. It’s a great reminder to stay positive and to not take life too seriously. Or soccer. It is, after all, just a game.

Day #18

I know I said this a few days ago, but I am so incredibly grateful for my roommate. If last night wasn’t rock bottom, I don’t want to know what is. Not only did she rub my back and bring me water while I was throwing up, she spent the entire time telling me everything was going to be ok and that it was normal to go through this from time to time. On top of that, she spent the entire night sleeping on the bathroom floor with me. I don’t know too many people that would do that for me.

Day #I Forget

I’m exhausted. And incredibly thankful for my job. I’m stressed out at work, have too much to do and not enough time to do it, but you know what? I love my job. I really do. And that makes all the difference.
